Microrobot Developed to Deliver Stem Cells to the Brain

Microrobots that can create an efficient pattern for the delivery of contrasting therapeutic cells in different parts of the brain have recently been developed at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology.
Following the fact that the carotid artery is one of the significant parts of the brain, Robotic Sciences suggests that differentiation of different stem cells can be done by considering specific stem cells. The good news is that in the future, this robotic fusion with differentiated culture will be the new order of the day.
As a result of running the risk of direct implications to the brain, a team of professional technicians and researchers from the Korean University teamed up to develop the ultimate preventive mode against the loss of stem cells.
The result of the peer reviewed consultation among scholars was the use of a non-invasively controlled microbot. Its objective was to travel through different parts of the body and brain, to deliver precise stem changing cells in different parts of the brain. The 3D laser lithography is the casing that covers the microbots, making them easily adaptable to a wide variety of body temperatures and conditions.
There were two significant demonstrations that the researchers could bring to practice. First, it was possible for them to generate more cells by culturing the hippocampal neural stem cells on the microrobot. Also, the researchers were able to direct the cultured cells to develop into different types of neural stem cells.
Another significant achievement of the researchers was that they were able to demonstrate the appearance and physiology of a cadaveric rat brain. The demonstration was so clear and detailed that the researchers had an easy time directing the microrobot through different arteries of the cadaveric rat brain by the induction of a magnetic field. Therefore, the generated neural stem cells got to the appropriate location of the mind.
Hongsco Choi, a professor in the field of science robotics, gave a precise comment regarding the research. He mentioned that the primary purpose of the study is to improve the clinical outcomes for patients who have Alzheimer’s disease.
However, the major challenge concerning the method of culturing healthy neural stem cells and directing them to the brain could not solve the underlying problem when it comes to the human brain. According to Choi he, together with his team of medical experts, physicians and scientists, will continue with the journey to invent microrobotic methods that fit in the typical clinical setting.
To your health,
